Geoff Broughton welcomes a baby boy!
Peter Daniel Broughton was born on July 4, 2006. The little man was a week late. I guess he knows a good party when he hears one. Mom, dad (Geoff Broughton, WPHS '86), big bro' James and the baby are doing great.

Missy Cohen delivered WP commencement address
Missy Cohen
delivered the West Potomac 2006 Commencement Address at the Patriot Center.
She chose "Serendipity" as her subject using her past experience to show how life has many options if you are open to them.
She appeared in an article in the June 28th, 2006 Connection and
the June 22nd, 2006 Mount Vernon Voice.

Ray Bowers finally popped the question!
Ray Bowers finally asked Nona Green to marry him. He surprised her by asking in the middle of dancing by spinning her to sit on his knee while kneeling on the other. Being swept off her feet (literally), she could do nothing else but say Yes. See his profile for more details.

Suzanne (HENRY) Plimpton had a baby daughter!
Suzanne (HENRY) Plimpton and her husband, Scott, celebrated the birth of their daughter, Olivia Carol, on April 11 at 11:07 a.m. She joins big brothers Owen and Brian, and three pugs, Bear, Shadow, and Marlin.

Missy Lynn Cohen to give West Potomac 2006 Commencement Address
Missy Lynn Cohen will be delivering the West Potomac 2006 Commencement Address on June 15th at 10am at the Patriot Center. She was approached by the school after an article appeared about her in the Alexandria Gazette. Her career as a sound and music editor has covered films ranging from "Silence of the Lambs" to "Chicago" and "The Producers" (see Missy on IMDB). She is flattered and truly terrified to be asked to do this. Like most of us, she does not remember who spoke at our graduation, much less what they said. So if you want to provide moral support, she would love to see you there!
